Here is a basic recipe on how to make your own rose water at home so that you can enjoy the benefits of these beautiful petals:

First you want to find a source for organic roses. You don't want roses that have been sprayed with chemical and pesticides. Make sure the petals are a bright red and fragrant. You can use fresh rose petals or dried petals, which ever you prefer.

Next you need to gather your supplies.

You will need:
distilled water
mason jar
dried rose petals
cheese cloth or coffee filters
small pot
funnel
clean plastic bottle

Make sure all of your supplies are clean & sterile.

Place a small amount of water inside the small pot with water and place it on the stove. Turn the stove on a low setting and begin to warm the water.

Take the clean mason jar and place the fresh or dried rose petals in the mason jar. Pour the distilled water into the mason jar. The water level should stop just above the rose petals. Place the lid on the jar and tighten. Place the mason jar into the small pot.

Make sure the stove eye is on low and the water in the pot will begin to simmer. Let the mason jar filled with rose petals and water simmer on low for 30-45 minutes.

Carefully remove the mason jar from the pot and allow it to cool before you remove the lid.

Take your funnel and place it inside the clean plastic jar and place your cheesecloth or coffee filter to strain the petals while pouring the rose water into the clean plastic container.

Throw the rose petals away and now you have your own rose water! It can be stored in a cool dry place for about a week and one month in the refrigerator.
